The lava falls are shaped in a perfect circle, though there are many sets of falls that are all linked together in a chain. Magma and lava flow across the rock from a large volcano in the centre. Rivers of lava from the falls end with large holes that suck the lava back into the earth and is pumped bck out by the volcano again (fountain effect).
